In California, a small craft brewery was preparing for the holiday season and upcoming trade shows. Their beer had already built a loyal following, but they faced a recurring problem: glass bottles often broke during shipping, and their plain cartons looked out of place when displayed alongside more polished competitors. What they needed was packaging that could protect their product on the road while also serving as a gift-ready box that customers would be proud to carry home.
When they reached out to PandaPackage, they described their vision—a box that combined strength, presentation, and flexibility for a limited run of just a few hundred sets. The solution we developed was a rigid gift box reinforced with thick corrugated board, strong enough to handle transport without adding excessive weight. Inside, we added custom dividers that kept each bottle securely in place, preventing the clinking and cracking that had cost them so much before.
On the outside, we gave the box a bold identity. Using full-color printing and selective UV finishes, the brewery’s logo and illustrations stood out under the light, creating a design that felt festive yet authentic to the craft beer culture. To make the box practical for retail and events, we designed a front flap that opened like a display window, allowing the bottles to be seen without compromising protection.
When the brewery unveiled the new packaging, it immediately elevated their presentation. At trade shows, their booth drew more attention, and the boxes doubled as marketing tools—customers often took photos and shared them online. For the holidays, the sturdy design meant fewer broken bottles and happier customers. In the words of the brewery’s owner, the new packaging finally matched the quality of the beer inside.
