Bleached / Unbleached Kraft (Paper)

Definition
High-strength packaging paper made from long-fiber wood pulp via the kraft (sulfate) process, noted for excellent tensile, tear, burst strength and stiffness. Classified by whether the pulp is bleached.

Types

Unbleached Kraft: Natural brown. Very tough with strong abrasion/puncture resistance and an “eco” look. Common for shopping bags, mailers, foodservice sacks, liners, corrugated facings.

Bleached Kraft: High whiteness for clean branding and better print fidelity; available one- or two-sided white. Used for premium retail bags, food takeaway, gift box wrap, labels.

Typical Basis Weights

70–200 gsm: Bags, wraps, liners, envelopes.

200–350 gsm: Handles, covers, laminating/box wrap.

Notes
Both grades are recyclable and available with FSC®/recycled-content options. For food-related uses, request EU/FDA/GB compliance and low-odor specifications.
